John Peter Davis’s writing biography starts Christmas 1996 the moment he first signed onto the internet from home.

Many destinies changed significantly in that instant.

As you read the title poem in "Love's Wall" you will see his approach to life - always running at it full steam. No other way is acceptable. That is what he did with the internet. What ensued were two long distance relationships lasting eight years and three years. Both were about 450 miles away.

During those years he watched many online romances grow and bloom or often fail.

With meeting people from all over the world, a fictional short story developed in his head. He took tidbits of people and places and “Mr. Baggins,” his first romantic short story, was born. He carried that story in his head for seven years. Then one day it finally felt right to capture it on paper, so he did.

He had always said that he wanted to be a writer. That day with “Mr. Baggins” it became a reality.

He then wrote several more short stories based on internet romance. Their popularity was pointing him towards become a romantic short story author.

Then on July 4, 2007 something happened. He wrote a poem. It came from deep intense emotions within him brought on by the circumstances of the day. He needed to diffuse these feeling somewhere and they channeled into a poem that he titled "If Only."

He had never written a poem before nor even thought to write one. In fact he seldom read poetry so where it came from he doesn’t know. Nor does he question it. He fully believes that everything happens for a reason.

The next few months brought more of those intense moments and his emotions would pour into his keyboard.

His first book to touch your heart "Love's Wall" was complied early 2008. It contains those poems plus a number of other themes.

He recently compiled a mini book sampler of poetry and short stories titled "Taste of Romance." It is only available as an e-book at http://stores.lulu.com/johnpeterdavis

Having written a book of poems expressing a multitude of emotions, it then made sense to write a book about what caused them. Brick Wall is the result.

In essence the two books are companions to one other. One tells the incredible story. The other tells the feelings that it caused.

A book of short stories is in the works by early 2009. It will of course lead off with Mr. Baggins.

The internet is a curious blend of fact and fiction. Where one ends and the other begins is sometimes impossible to detect as is seen in John Peter Davis’s writings.
